All players will need to complete a separate registration with USA Rugby, our national governing body, before they can participate in AYRU sponsored events, be eligible for practices and play in matches. This registration (also known as "CIPP") provides valuable and mandatory accident and medical insurance for all players in USA Rugby and the AYRU. A players CIPP is good from 1 September, 2014 until August 31st, 2015. It is transferable to any club or match a player plays in the USA during that time period.
The fee for non-contact "Rookie Rugby" players is $10 (split into $5 for USA Rugby and $5 for New Mexico Youth Rugby, our state organization). The fee for contact rugby "Youth Players" is $30 (split into $20 for USA Rugby and $10 for New Mexico Youth Rugby, our state organization). Players absolutely cannot participate in matches if they do not have USA Rugby registration completed. To register follow these steps:

The AYRU offers Non-contact rugby for boy and girl players qualified at the U9, U11, U13 and U15 age levels as per the AYRU general registraion. Boys and girls are mixed on the same teams for non-contact rugby.
Contact rugby is only offered to qualified boy and girl players at the U13 and U15 age levels as per the AYRU general registration. Boys and girls preferably play on seperate teams, though under special circumstances girls can play in with the boys.
