Jul 1, 2009, 1:29 pmHello Little Ruggers and Parents,
Last Wednesday evening (June 24th) was the AYRU Isotopes game and picnic. We got to see Manny Ramirez play for the Isotopes, and since we were in the picnic area and he played left field, we had a great view. Even though the light rain that was present at the start of the game blew right into our faces, all in all, we had plenty to eat and had a great time. The game itself ended up being fifteen innings, 8 or 10 of us were still there at the end. Out of 38 people that agreed to attend we had only 5 that didn't attend (these were 5 tickets that the AYRU ended up paying for with no refund being available).
This Sunday, July 5th, we are going to have an informal pick up game of touch rugby to the players at Montgomery Park at 1:00 pm. So if you are in town and want to have a run come on out. Ed Cole (the Corrales Coach) mentioned that he might have his grill with him, so there could also be some hot dogs to be enjoyed also.
